Transport minister Theresa Villiers has opened a £10m train maintenance depot in Allerton.

The new Northern Rail depot in Liverpool has created 46 jobs. The company says the facility will improve reliability and cut delays. It was officially opened this morning by Transport Minister Theresa Villiers.
