The North West marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day
June 6, 2019 marks the 75th Anniversary of D-Day; a pivotal moment in World War Two when the allied forces began to invade Nazi-occupied Western Europe.
Around 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel in what was the largest seaborne invasion in history.
