An inquest into the death of Robert Hart has heard it's not uncommon for staff to make multiple calls to doctors on call & wait for 30 mins or more for a response.

Staff at North Manchester General were monitoring Robert, who'd been punched unconscious at the Parklife Festival. The following morning he was given a CT scan which revealed he had a large bleed on the brain.

Doctors described it as a 'big clot in a bad place' which needed urgent attention.

But despite 'repeated calls' from doctors at North Manchester General, they weren't able to contact neurosurgeons at Salford Royal Infirmary over several hours.

Salford Royal has admitted Robert Hart may have survived if he'd been transferred to them sooner.

The Inquest's expected to hear from Salford's neurosurgical team tomorrow on the delay in admitting Robert and why his scan was misinterpreted.
