Man assaulted outside cemetery after Paul Massey funeral
A 49-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after he was hit with a piece of wood outside Agecroft cemetary in Salford.
The attack took place around 3pm on Friday August 29 just after Paul Massey's funeral. Hundreds of people had lined the streets outside the cemetery to pay their respects to the man formely known as Salford's "Mr Big".
Paul Massey, 55, was shot dead at his homelast month by a masked gunman over his alleged involvement in organised crime.
The victim of the assault was taken to Salford Royal hospital were he remains in a stable condition.

But hundreds of mourners have turned out today for the funeral in the city of Paul Massey.
The 55 year was shot at his home last month.
