Father of one, John Burns, left his home in West Derby and was reported missing to police when he failed to turn up to work on the morning of Sunday, November 30.

Girlfriend Emma Champion said John had been suffering some stress at work but his disappearance is “totally out of character”. The couple have a four year old daughter, Alice who is struggling to understand where her Dad has gone.

Alice just keep asking me ‘is daddy gone? Have I not got a daddy anymore?’ Then another time she turned to me and said ‘I’m a little sad now, I miss my daddy’.

It’s just heartbreaking, she woke up the other night sobbing, asking for her daddy so it’s obviously playing on her mind.

I just keep telling her he’s at work, but she knows something’s not right.

John is described a 5ft 6 ins tall, of stocky build with short brown hair and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing black Adidas tracksuit bottoms, a navy coloured fleece top and carrying a black Nike rucksack.

Anyone with any information can contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4422/4429.

Police - increasing concern for missing Dad

Police say John is known to frequent Liverpool city centre and that it is out of character to John to go missing and not be in touch with his family who are becoming very worried for his safety.
