The class of 92 take charge of their new club

Manchester United heroes Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers are coming out of retirement to take on their new football club.

They've been speaking for the first time about their takeover of Salford City and revealed plans for a pre-season match at the AJ Bell between the non-league side and a team of United legends on August 7th.

Manchester United legend Phil Neville told ITV News he feels all the so-called Class of '92 'owe something back to Salford' to make the non-leaguers successful.

He said they aim to make the next 15-30 years really special for the people of Salford.

Manchester United legends Nicky Butt, Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs held a training session as the new owners of Salford City Football club.

The so-called Class of 92 have ambitious plans for the non leaguers.. hoping to make them a Championship side in 15 years.

Giggs, who's now assistant manager at United, spoke to our sports correspondent David Chisnall about taking over at Salford.
