A Manchester City footballer, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been bailed following the deaths of a brother and sister who died in the collision. Another driver was also arrested.

A Manchester City footballer has been questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. 18 year old Courtney Meppen-Walter from Bury was arrested after a brother and sister died in the crash.

Kulwant Singh was taking his sister and her two teenage sons home when their car was hit.

The brothers who are recovering in hospital, still haven't been told their mother and uncle have been killed.

Two men arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision in north Manchester have been bailed.

Kulwant Singh, 32 and from Salford, and his Cheetham Hill-based sister Ravel-Kaur Singh, 37, died on Saturday night when a silver Mercedes collided with their red Nissan Micra.

Manchester City footballer Courtney Meppen-Walter, who was driving the Mercedes, and a second man, 19, who was driving a grey Volkswagen Golf were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
