Knowsley winter wonderland: Animals enjoy snow day at Safari Park
The team at a zoo in Merseyside have released pictures of animals enjoying the snow.
As a winter wonderland descended on Knowsley Safari Park, the animals proved that snow days can be enjoyed by everyone.
An Amur Tiger, naturally at home in colder climates, took to the snow with ease, as it played with two snowmen built by zookeepers.
Nearby, the Bactrian Camels, known for their tolerance for the cold, drought, and high altitudes in Central Asian deserts, appeared unfazed by the snow with their double coats of wooly fur.
For other animals like the Bush Dogs, the cold weather brought pure joy as they explored the snow as gang.
Bush Dogs are a near-threatened species that are originally found in Central and South America.
Packs tend to live near water and semi-deciduous forests and seasonally flooded forests.
In another part of the zoo, a troop of baboons had a brilliant time travelling together in their transformed habitat, with one baboon in particular stealing the show.
Other animals captured enjoying the snow day included, an Iberian Wolf and a pair of Meerkats.
