Ariana Grande donates gifts to children in hospitals across Greater Manchester this Christmas

Pop icon Ariana Grande has gifted Christmas presents to children spending the festive period in hospitals across Greater Manchester.

The 'Wicked' actress and singer, donated gifts to children at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Trafford General, Wythenshawe Hospital, and North Manchester General.

Grande was made an honorary citizen of Manchester following the arena terror attack at her concert in May 2017, where 22 people were killed in the aftermath of her performance.

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust charity revealed on December 23 that the singer had donated gifts to the children across the region's hospitals for Christmas and thanked her.

The MFT charity posted on Instagram: "Thank you @arianagrande! We are so grateful to Ariana for thinking of our young patients this Christmas.

"The gifts she has donated are being distributed to babies, children and teenagers across Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. @mftnhs."

It's not the first time the star has sent presents to children in Manchester hospitals. The 31-year-old has had a long-standing relationship with the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in particular since the Manchester Arena attack in 2017.

In 2022, gifts and Amazon vouchers were given to children and newborn intensive care units at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital following a donation from Grande.
