Sister's plea for information, four years after brother goes missing in Warrington

It's four years since 38 year old James Miller went missing in Warrington and his family are facing another Christmas without answers

James went missing three days before Christmas and did not return for New Year or his 38th birthday on 19th January.

He was last spotted on CCTV in Slater Street, Latchford, shortly after leaving his mother's home.

His two sisters Emma and Catherine want to remind people about the case and are renewing their appeal for information.

They have been putting up posters in the local area in the hope of jogging people's memory.

Emma describes it as 'living in limbo' and says the family cannot grieve or move on.

Emma said: "They say time is a healer but I really don't think it is, it just gets more difficult it is the unknown, we still have no answers. When I say there is nothing there is a little bit of CCTV from the night and that's it, no confirmed sightings aside from that one and just nothing, it is really difficult at this time of year"

When he went missing James was struggling with his mental health, but Emma said he was always the "life and soul of the party at Chrsitmas".

She added he was having a difficult time during lockdown as he lost the ability to socialise and also couldn't get the help he needed.

"I want him to know how much he is loved and how much we miss and care for him," Emma said.

"I'll keep putting it out there until the one day when he does come home or just so we know he is safe, that's our main thing now if you are safe then that's all we want to know. If you don't want to come home then just let us know."

Emma is holding onto hope, she said:"My gut feeling is that he's out there I hope living his best life, I hold onto hope and I hold onto the positivity.

"I hope one day he will come bouncing through the door like nothing has ever happened and we will love him like nothing has ever happened."

On the fourth anniversary of the day James went missing the family are holding a "Light up for James" event and asking people to "light that light to help guide him home".
