Every day in December we're opening a door of our Granada Reports Advent Calendar of local heroes.

Each day, we'll be meeting someone who has gone above and beyond in what has been a very difficult year.

Today is the turn of Ruth Lancey from Partington, who set up a community hub at the beginning of the Pandemic.

The Hope Centre is a one stop shop for advice, affordable food, and even school uniforms. Ruth says the centre has been vital for families struggling this year.
