Moss Side shootings: Five women released under investigation after double murder
Five women who were arrested over the shooting of two men at a party in Manchester have been released under investigation.
The women were arrested in West Midlands in relation to the murder of Abayome "Junior" Ajose and Cheriff Tall who were fatally shot at a community event in Moss Side in June 2020.
21-year-old, Cheriff Tall and dad-of-three Abayome Ajose, 36, died from their injuries following the shootings at a barbeque event in Moss Side.
Five women - aged between 33 and 24 - were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and were taken to custody for questioning but have now been released under investigation.
Greater Manchester Police have previously said that they have a prime suspect who has disappeared and is thought to have fled abroad.
The suspect was one of about 20 people from Birmingham who attended the party.
GMP have been working closely with West Midlands Police to try and locate the suspect.
