Lancashire restaurant named best in the UK for the second year running
Moor Hall in Lancashire has been crowned National Restaurant of the Year at The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards for the second time running.
The Grade II-listed restaurant with rooms, in Aughton, is overseen by chef Mark Birchall and has built a stellar reputation since launching in 2017 for its distinctive modern British cuisine that’s based largely on produce grown within the venue’s own five-acre estate.
Moor Hall was one of five restaurants in Lancashire to make it into the top 100, with others including The Parkers Arms (23) – with female chef Stosie Madie – Northcote (34), The White Swan at Fence (36), and Freemasons at Wiswell (38).
Mana scooped up 11th with chef Simon Martin, whist its neighbour, Erst, also placed (47).
