A touching birthday message and gift to Tyson Fury from baby girl Athena who remains in ICU
Tyson Fury shared an Instagram post of a birthday gift he received from his newborn baby Athena who is currently in a critical care unit.
He announced on social media on Sunday 8th August that his wife Paris had given birth to their sixth child.
But asked fans to 'keep her in their prayers' after she was put on a ventilator at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
Baby Athena was re-admitted to intensive care on Tuesday 10 August.
The heavyweight boxer’s birthday was made special with a message from his newborn.
The card read: “To Daddy, happy birthday, I love you with all my heart, Athena.”
It also included baby Athena's footprints in pink and yellow paint.
Yesterday evening, the boxer from Morecambe posted on instagram letting his followers know that Athena remains in ICU but has been taken off the ventilator.
He said: “Update for everyone. Baby Athena is doing well and has had a stable day off ventilator, thanks to everyone for the prayers, still in ICU for now.
He thanked staff at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for taking care of his newborn baby: “Thanks to all the Drs and nurses. God bless you all.”
The professional world heavyweight champion has now raised more than £30,000 in aid of Alder Hey Family House Trust who run the Ronald McDonald House, Liverpool.
Tyson and Paris Fury have been married since 2009 and have three daughters and three sons.
