Moss Side shooting victim's father accuses killer of 'hiding like a rat'
A killer who gunned down two men at an outdoor lockdown party is "hiding like a rat", said the father of one of his victims.
Cheriff Tall, 21, and Abayomi Ajose, 36, were fatally shot at a "spontaneous gathering" which followed hours after a Black Lives Matter family event nearby in Moss Side, Manchester.
On Tuesday, the family of Mr Tall made an emotional appeal for information to track down the double murderer.
In a direct message to the killer, Mr Tall's father Mousa, 53, a support worker, said: "You, the killer. You killed my son. You killed a son, you killed a brother.
A 32-year-old woman from Birmingham was arrested last week on suspicion of murder. She has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police say they believe the killer had come from outside Manchester.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Wilkinson said: "I understand it's very very difficult for people to come forward for any crime, but especially a brutal one such as this.
"But there were 300 people at this gathering. I'm pretty sure there are eyewitnesses. We desperately need people in the community to come forward."
Both victims - who did not know each other - were shot at the party off Caythorne Street at about 12.55am on Sunday. They later died in hospital.
