26-year-old man stabbed to death at house party in Liverpool, say police

A 26-year-old man has been stabbed to death at a house party in Liverpool, police said.

Officers were called to an address in Oakham Street in Toxteth at 6.15am on Friday where they found the injured man, who is believed to have been stabbed, a spokesman for Merseyside Police said.

Detectives believe a party was taking place at the time.

The force spokesman said the man had not been formally identified but his next of kin had been made aware and a post-mortem examination was due to take place.

A police cordon is in place at the scene and a forensic search of the house is taking place.
