Arrests linked to illegal raves in the North West

Police across the region are stepping up their action to foil any illegal raves planned for later this weekend.

In Lancashire, an 18 year old's been questioned on suspicion of attempting to organise a gathering near Blackpool last night.

Meanwhile, officers investigating an illegal rave at Daisy Nook Country Park in Oldham last week have arrested a 22 year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage and public nuisance.

Earlier, a 33 year old man was arrested in connection with another illegal rave on waste ground in Trafford.

They seized a laptop and audio -visual equipment.
