House collapses in the middle of street in Chorlton after storms batter the North West
A house partially collapsed in the middle of the street as [**storms**](http://Flash floods batter the north-west after thunderstorms)[**battered the region on Tuesday night \(June 17\).**](http://Flash floods batter the north-west after thunderstorms)
Emergency crews were called to make the area safe after the collapseon Stockton Road in Chorlton, south Manchester.
There were no reports of injuries, Greater Manchester Police said.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said one fire engine wascalled to the scene at 10.38pm and that the house was unoccupied at the time.
Photographs from the scene show the roof had collapsed and bricks havebeen strewn across the front of the property.
A stairwell can clearly be seen in images taken by neighbours.
Greater Manchester Police said the incident was reported to officersat 11.05pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the force said: “The house is believed to be empty.
“Nobody was injured.
"Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service are leading on the incident.”
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 10.38pm one fireengine from Stretford mobilised to a collapsed house on Stockton Road,Manchester.
"The house was unoccupied at the time so there aren't thought to beany persons involved."
