Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Lancashire

She was found with head injuries at an address in Victory Close in Nelson at around 11:00 AM today.

Police say while formal identification has yet to take place, she is believed to be a 58-year-old woman from the town.

A 72-year-old man from Nelson has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
