CCTV appeal after shot fired during petrol station robbery in Greater Manchester
Detectives have issued CCTV footage as they appeal for information about an armed robbery in Greater Manchester.
It happened at the Shell Greengate Service Station in Middleton, Rochdale, on Wednesday 27 May 2020.
Shortly before 10pm a man – who was armed with a gun – threatened staff and shot a bullet into the ceiling.
The man tried to access the till from across the counter, dropping his gun as he did so.
No one was injured during the robbery but staff were left shaken.
The man didn’t leave with any cash, but he did steal bottles of wine and tobacco before making off on foot towards Main Way.
