Aya Hachem: Woman arrested in Bolton on suspicion of the murder of law student
A woman has been arrested in the latest development on the investigation into death of Aya Hachem, 19, in Blackburn.
The 33-year-old from Bolton was detained yesterday afternoon (May 27) on suspicion of Aya’s murder and the attempted murder of who police believe was the intended target.
14 people were arrested in the days after her death, with five men and a woman charged; two men bailed pending further enquiries; five people – four men and two women – released under investigation and one man released without charge.
