Police seek man after dog walker attack

Police in Greater Manchester are seeking a man after a dog and its owner were attacked.

It happened around 2:45pm on Sunday. Police were called to Reddish Vale Country Park near Stockport.

The dog walker had been approached by a man who picked up the victim’s dog by the neck and threatened to kill both the dog and owner. There was a short altercation which resulted in the victim sustaining facial injuries, but he did not require hospital treatment.

An investigation is now underway. No arrests have been made.

The man police are looking for is described as being white, approximately 6ft tall and of a small build with short mousey-brown hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing. His appearance is also described as unkempt.
