Comedy star Jon Richardson hosts livestream gig to raise funds for charity
Comedian Jon Richardson is starring in a one off comedy show aboutLancashire, the North West and life in lockdown for an online fundraiser, which takes place on United We Stream on Monday 25th May.
The online platform United We Stream was set up in April to provide entertainment and to raise money for charities during the pandemic lockdown crisis.
‘No Audience With Jon Richardson’ will see stars like Liverpool born Kim Cattrall, known worldwide for her role as PR boss Samantha Jones in Sex and the City contribute to the show.
Fellow comedians Alan Carr, Jack Whitehall, Russell Kane, Jason Manford and Kate Robbins will also take part.
Jon is producing the show to raise funds for St Johns Hospice which is in his hometown Lancaster, after two family members were cared for there.
The show will broadcast on streaming platform United We StreamGM at 8pm and is free to watch but fans are encouraged to buy a virtual ticket at a price they set.
Jon said: “I’ve never done a live streaming show before, and we have some amazing people contributing, there are some surprise guests on the night, expect the unexpected!''
“All the money raised will go towards the brilliant St Johns Hospice, the Lancashire Community Foundation COVID-19 Fund, NHS Charities Together, and the United We Stream Solidarity Fund which goes to support bars, clubs, pubs, venues, restaurants, performers, freelancers and cultural organisations across Greater Manchester, The Mayor of GreaterManchester’s Charity and music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins.''
