Video appears to show woodland rave

A video has emerged which appears to show a large group of young peopleat an outdoor "rave" in Liverpool.

Concerns have been expressed as the rave is believed to have takenplace during the coronavirus lockdown, with the event clearly breakingnumerous social distancing rules.

Video clips seem to show the group of young people at an outdoor party in woods in the Fazakerley area of the city.

There is loud dance music playing and the video appears to showspecially set up tents.

One concerned resident who shared the video said: "It is shocking thatwe are meant to be in lockdown and this is going on.

"We haven’t seen my parents or grandparents in nearly eight weeks andthey are doing this."

Police have had to disrupt a number of large gatherings in parks andbeaches across Merseyside during the lockdown. One incident involved abarbecue on land near Crosby beach.

The ''rave'' is the latest gathering to have caused police concern whilesocial restrictions designed to prevent the spread of coronavirusremain in place.
