Socially-distanced orchestra remains composed to play musical classic
Lots of us are really missing our weekly clubs and groups during this lockdown - but one amateur orchestra has proved you don't need to meet to make sweet music.
The Blackpool Symphony Orchestra normally meet every Thursday night in a hall to rehearse. The lockdown has put paid to that for the time being - so they meet on-line to play and keep in touch.
With the help of their composer in residence, who created a unique arrangement, they have produced their own version of the Judy Garland classic Somewhere over the Rainbow.
They have done it to thank all our key workers and also to raise money for the Blackpool Food Bank.
Details of the Orchestra's fundraising effort can be found here. And if you want to watch the full version of the orchestra's video, you can see it here.
