Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix 2020 cancelled

The Classic TT and the 2020 Manx Grand Prix have both been cancelled due to coronavirus.

Due to the emergency measures, including the closure of the Isle of Man borders and the travel restrictions, the Department of Enterprise felt it was not safe enough to continue with the event.

It was announced by the Isle of Man Government and the Manx Motor Cycle Club this morning after consultation with race organisers.

The events were due to take place between the 22nd August and the 4th September.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will be contacting all affected passengers were booked to travel on the ferry for the event.

Anyone who was booked to travel from 19th August to 4th September will be offered the chance to transfer their booking to next year's event.

They will also be entitled to a full refund.

The Company will be in contact with residents as soon as provisional 2021 timetables have been finalised.
