Hacienda DJs are staging first ever 'stay at home rave' during lockdown
DJs from the legendary Hacienda club in Manchester are throwing their first ever 'stay at home' party this Easter Saturday.
Greater Manchester's United We Stream plans to livestream music from noon til midnight. It's free to join but 'clubbers staying safe in their homes' are being asked to donate to support those who have lost their income with the closure of pubs and clubs and help the creative and cultural economy.
On Friday Greater Manchester Police revealed officers had been called to hundreds of house and street parties with people ignoring the social distancing rules.
Legendary DJ Graeme Park hopes the DJ sets will encourage people to stick to the lockdown rules.
The all-day rave will be headlined by American house legends - David Morales, Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry - playing exclusively from across the Atlantic.
There will also be an audience with Shaun Ryder, Peter Hook and Graeme Park, chatting about their shared Hacienda memories with music journalist John Robb and taking questions from the online audience.
