Police say NHS resources diverted from Covid-19 by Lancashire street brawl

Much-needed emergency resources had to be diverted to a 10-man street brawl in Lancashire, police have said.

Officers were called when the group of men were spotted fighting in Brierfield, at about 12.10am on Wednesday.

Two men received head and leg injuries and were taken to Burnley General Hospital for treatment.

Another two men, aged 22 and 23, were arrested and later released on bail pending further inquiries.
