Rick Astley announces free Manchester concert for frontline healthcare workers

Rick Astley has announced that he will be putting on a free concert for frontline health workers at Manchester Arena.

The singer, from Newton-le-Willows, announced the gig on his Twitter page and will be free entry to any NHS frontline staff, Primary Care workers and "blue light staff".

He said: "Our NHS and emergency services are amazing. This concert is a thank you to all those fantastic frontline staff.

"I promise my band and I will give it everything to give you a great night out."

The concert will take place at the arena on October 28th later this year.

Astley's press agency have said that tickets applications must be made only by eligible frontline staff and they will be required to bring a valid staff card to the show - as ticket checks will be in operation.

Guests are allowed to go to the concert but they must be with the frontline worker at the time of admission says, Astley.
