Lancashire chairman David Hodgkiss has died after contracting coronavirus
The chairman of Lancashire County Cricket Club has died after he contracted coronavirus.
David Hodgkiss, 71, had been on the board at Emirates Old Trafford for 22years, and had underlying health issues.
Mr Hodgkiss took over as chairman of the club in April 2017 from Michael Cairns and played a key role in the redevelopment of the club's world famous ground over the last 10 years.
He was also chief executive of steel fabrication companythe William Hare Group, was awarded the OBE for services tomanufacturing and exporting.
