Boxer Anthony Crolla on on losing gym in Oldham mill blaze: "My heart is broken"
The boxer Anthony Crolla has sent his thoughts to those who have lost their livelihoods in a huge blaze in Oldham.
A gym owned by the former WBA lightweight champion was one of a number of premises thought to have been destroyed inside the former mill on Morton Street in Failsworth.
Crews were first called to the scene at 5:22am on Sunday.
At its height, crews from 8 fire engines tackled the incident.
Engineers from Electricity North West have been working to reconnect power to a number of local homes and businesses.
Firefighters are now damping down the building.
Oldham Road remains closed to traffic and Metrolink services on the Rochdale line are currently suspended.
