Boy, 6, injured after brick thrown through Tameside house window

A six-year-old boy was cut by shards of glass after a brick was thrown through the window of his house whilst he was asleep.

The child was left with injuries to his chin and arm following the incident in Dukinfield, Tameside at 3am yesterday

Police posted about the incident on the GMP Tameside North Facebook page.

They are urging witnesses to come forward with information.

The post by PS Luke Summerfield said: "We are appealing forinformation and witnesses in relation to a criminal damage to a housewhich left a six-year-old boy with injuries in Dukinfield.

"On March 24 at 3am, police responded to reports that a brick had beenthrown the window of an address on Freeman Road, Dukinfield.

"As a result of this criminal damage the glass from the windowshattered all over a six year old boy who was asleep in the room.

"Whilst enquiries are ongoing we’re keen to speak to anyone who mayhave any information in relation to the offenders or who may have seenanything at the time of the incident.

"Family have given consent for images to be shared of the boys injuries."
