North West domestic abuse charity is appealing for donations

A North West charity which supplies essential items for survivors of domestic abuse is appealing for donations.

Elle for Elle, which is based in Cheshire and Manchester, provides beauty products and toiletries to those being housed in refuges.

It's in a bid to ensure that people fleeing from abusive relationships aren't forced to go without the necessary basics.

They also stock the cupboards of bathrooms in refuges with cosmetic products such as make-up and bath salts. They ensure every women who enters a refuge has a ‘Welcome Pack' including basic toiletries, towels, make-up and food vouchers.

The charity says it aims to promote self-care and positive mental health.

Lynette Page-Collin is one of the founders of the organisation.

Elle for Elle has held two events in Manchester with the main aim of raising money for the charity and now work closely with the Prince's Trust helping women get back on their feet equipping them with transferable skills such as hairdressing and beauty.
