Chris Kamara helps to launch Marie Curie's Giant Daffodil tour in Manchester

Chris Kamara has been taking part in a Marie Curie fundraising event at the Trafford Centre today.

The former footballer turned pundit was helping to launch the charity's 'Great Big Daffodil Appeal' as it tours around the UK, raising money to support people living with a terminal illness.

The appeal will be the charity's biggest fundraising campaign.

The charity wants members of the public to share tributes, memories and photos of a loved one or a special moment from their end of life on the petals of our 7-foot Great Big Daffodil.

Marie Curie wants to create a "national picture" of the moments that matter most at the end of life.

Chris Kamara is a big supporter of the charity and has helped Marie Curie raise over £500,000 in the past.
