Peter Kay announces new 'Dance for Life' shows

Bolton comedian Peter Kay has announced a run of charity "Dance for Life" live shows.

It will be the comedian's first live appearances since he cancelled his tour in 2017 due to "unforeseen family circumstances".

He has previously hosted 14 of the shows across the UK, with 6 dates announced for Manchester, Liverpool and London.

The shows raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Announcing the shows on Twitter, Kay also encouraged people to set up a JustGiving page to get sponsored for the dance-a-thon.

The previous shows raised over £180,000 for the charity.

Peter will be joined on stage at the shows with his Car Share co-star, Sian Gibson.

Tickets will go on sale on 28 February at 9am.
