Train stations across the region are warning people to check the latest status on their journey before setting off from home.

Elsewhere, some residents across the North West say they're relieved to find their flood defences held out against Storm Dennis overnight.

Home owners in Lancashire's Ribble Valley had spent yesterday preparing for the worst, but up until now, they have not been severely affected.
