As Storm Ciara hits the North West and Isle of Man our viewers capture some extreme weather photos

Storm Ciara has impacted dramatically on the North West and the Isle of Man this weekend. Heavy rainfall culminated in flash flooding for many areas on Sunday, Footholme, Lancashire topping the table at 124mm rainfall in 24 hours. Slightly out of the region however, to the north, Honister Pass in the Lake District lead the pack with 170mm rainfall.

Visibility at Blackpool plummeted to 250 metres on Sunday morning - they were on a very active part of the squall line as the low swept through. Manchester Airport was also in the firing line and reported the strongest regional gust of 86mph.

Even though Storm Ciara has passed, we are not out of the woods yet. Please check the Environment Agency website for update to flood alerts and flood warnings - you can check UK flood updates by clicking here also - or follow the Environment Agency on Twitter @EnvAgency.

The Met Office have also issued new yellow warnings for wind and ice as we head into the new week.
