Chinese dragon goes skiing in Manchester to celebrate the New Year
A 22-metre dragon has taken to the slopes at the Chill Factore as celebrations for the Chinese New Year begin in the North West.
The skiing dragon was taken down the UK's largest indoor ski slope by nine of the venue's instructors.
Chill Factore spokesperson Graham Nelson said: "We’re so pleased to have been able to kick off the celebrations for Chinese New Year here in Manchester in true Chill Factore fashion – big, bold and on the snow!
"There are so many events in Manchester that we wanted to mark the occasion in our own unique style."
Vice-Chairman of the Manchester Chinatown Business Association member, Alan Chan, said: "What a way to start off Chinese New Year! I’ve never seen a skiing dragon before, but it looked amazing.
"Big thanks to Chill Factore for being part of the celebration."
