Large fire rips through Northwich Outdoor Market
Cheshire Fire and Rescue service are still at the scene of a large fire at Northwich Outdoor Market. Crews were called to the scene on Watling Street at 3am on Friday morning. Eight appliances from across Cheshire were at the scene at its height.
The fire service say gas and electricity engineers are on site to isolate supplies. Crews continue to use one hose reel, and one hose reel jet to damp down the area.
Local businesses nearby are being advised to keep windows and doors shut.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have released a statement to say it will be working with traders who have been affected throughout the course of the day.
