Five children reported killed in attack on school in Syria run by Manchester based charity
There have been reports that five children aged six and thirteen were killed on New Year’s Day when their school, run by a Manchester based Syria Relief, was hit by artillery.
The organisation says that four adults were also killed by the attack in Sarmin, Idlib. and twelve children were injured by the bomb.
The charity is based in Denton, Greater Manchester and it also says that almost a thousand children are currently out of education because of the damage done to the school.
Syria Relief says its working to help get the students back in education, and with medical treatment, visiting the families of those killed and working to provide psychological support for children affected by the incident
