Pet snake rescued after getting stuck in car chassis

A five-foot snake has been rescued by the RSPCA and firefighters after he escaped while travelling in a car towards Oldham.

Allan the pet corn snake was in his vivarium travelling with his owner Ellie Bond when he made his way under the car seats.

There was a frantic search for the snake and it was feared he had fallen from the car on the motorway.

Allan was released by fire crews and the RSPCA and was unharmed.
