Four people have been arrested following a burglary in Didsbury.
Two men, aged 29 and 18, and two boys, both aged 17, have been arrested after stealing an Audi A3 from a house in Disbury.
Police were called to reports of a burglary on Melrose Avenue in the early hours of this morning, where they believe the offenders threw a brick through the front door before stealing the car.
Greater Manchester Police say that they found the Audi on Park Road in Hale as the occupants were abandoning the car and getting into a blue Volkswagen Golf.
The Golf then collided with Dante's restaurant on Ashley Road in Hale after being pursued by police.
The front of the award-winning restaurant was demolished with the car left surrounded by bricks and debris.
All four were taken to hospital with minor injuries with the 18-year-old and one of the boys have been discharged and taken into custody.
Detective Sergeant Kate Grundy said: "This was a distressing incident for the victims of the theft to have their property targeted in the middle of the night as well as the owners of the restaurant which has sadly had to close due to the extensive damage caused.
"Our response team acted swiftly to detain the suspects and although we have made four arrests we are still keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver Audi or blue Volkswagen Golf driving through the areas between Eccles and Hale at the time of the incident."
