Liverpool man jailed for 21 years for serious assault and attempted arson
A man from Liverpool has been jailed for 21 years for seriously assaulting two men and attempting to set a house on fire.
Thomas Frazer blinded a 27-year-old man in Ellesmere Port after hitting him with a broken bottle in January.
He also sprayed a flammable liquid onto a 43-year-old man and set it alight in Bootle, back in 2016
The incident occurred after Frazer had attempted to set the man's house on fire.
He denied all charges but was found guilty by a jury in July and was then sentenced last week.
Detective Constable John Palmi, of Cheshire Police, said: "I am delighted that Thomas Frazer is now behind bars where he is no longer a danger to the public.
He added: "I hope that the sentence he has received gives the victims some closure and enables them to move forward with their lives.
"I also hope that the sentence deters others from committing similar crimes."
