Famous faces from Manchester captured in 'unique portraits'

Famous Manchester faces are leading a new campaign to help Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham's homelessness initiative.

Sixteen well known personalities from the city have posed for a startling set of portrait photographs as part of 'The Great & The Good' exhibition by Burnage-born former Vogue photographer David Oldham.

Among those photographed were Happy Mondays' Shaun Ryder, Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, actress Julie Hesmondhalgh and Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham.

The exhibition, which took a month to shoot, was unveiled at fivefourstudios in Salford last Friday.

The images will be on display until this Friday, before being sold off in a silent auction, with all proceeds going to Andy Burnham's 'A Bed Every Night' scheme.
