Sporting champions to be honoured at gala dinner in Manchester

Some of the regions most famous sports stars, past and present are being honoured at a glitzy gala dinner later.

Former boxing champion, Ricky Hatton, Manchester City and England star Steph Houghton will be recognised.

Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany will get a special recognition award, but as he's unable to attend, Greater Manchester Metro Mayor, Andy Burnham, will accept the award on his behalf.
