Police appeal after man stabbed in Manchester

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Manchester.

Emergency services were called to North Grove in Longsight on Saturday afternoon.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

The attacker escaped before police arrived.

He has been described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a dark grey hooded top with dark coloured pants.

Officers searched the area but so far no arrests have been made.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
