Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after man found with stab wounds

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was found with stab wounds on Merseyside.

Emergency services were called to Scafell Walk, Netherley, on Friday afternoon to reports that a man in his 40s had serious injuries.

He has been treated in hospital and a property at the address was cordoned off.

A 41-year-old woman was detained close by on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to a police station for questioning.

Officers have been carrying out a full search of the area, and forensic, CCTV and witness enquiries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed incident or has mobile phone, dash cam or CCTV footage.
