Two thousand jobs at risk as Cheshire's Kairos Group collapses
The Cheshire based company behind St Helens Glass is set to go into administration in the coming days, the collapse affecting up to 2000 people.
The Kairos group based in Winsford was one of the UK's largest privately-owned home improvement firms. The company director told Granada Reports they had hoped to sell the company and are devastated they've had to close prematurely due to their bank withholding money for jobs they'd already completed. Adrian Kirk said there had been a 'lot of sleepless nights' trying to keep the company going.
It's thought 40 jobs at the company's office in Winsford could be lost.
The company previously known as Entu was saved from administration in recent years by entrepreneur Brian Kennedy, who owned Sale Sharks Rugby Club before selling it in 2016.
Kairos stopped selling and marketing it's products three weeks ago, administrators will be appointed shortly.
