Why some of Crosby's Iron Men are being removed from their beach
These incredible photographs show some of Crosby's Iron Men being removed from the beach.
But there's no need to worry - they'll be back, as it's just part of a 'refurbishment and maintenance plan'.
Sefton Council says a number of minor issues with the Another Place installation will be 'ironed out', including the re-erection of a small number of statues which have tilted.
The images, snapped by local photographer Ron Davies, were taken last week, and show a number of the iconic statues being taken away.
The local authority's Green Sefton team are also on hand to help facilitate the project.
All 100 statues will be 're-piled' in sets of two over the next seven weeks.
Crosby beach will remain open throughout but members of the public are asked to keep away from any works to ensure both their safety and the safety of site workers.
