Peterloo legacy project commissioned for Greater Manchester

Following the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre, Greater Manchester Arts have commissioned an art project to mark the impact of Peterloo and the reform which followed.

Award-winning artist, Joshua Sofaer has been commissioned to complete the Peterloo legacy project which will unite the ten districts of Greater Manchester; from Bolton to Bury, Rochdale to Stockport, and Oldham to Trafford.

The project will begin this Autumn and will be a collaborative process with local people.

Upon completion, the artwork will tour Greater Manchester in Spring 2020.
